Firefighter Injured in New Market House Fire

New Market Volunteer Fire Department and emergency personnel responded to a house fire around 11:00 am, September 18, 2013 at 1231 Old Andrew Johnson Highway in New Market, TN where Captain Sammy Solomon sustained injuries after falling from a ladder while battling the blaze.  He sustained minor injuries and was transported to UT Hospital where he was treated for injuries from the fall.  Captain Solomon was released later that evening.  The house was not occupied and no one else was injured.  Fire officials are still investigating the cause of the fire.
