The Maury Hornet’s hosted Lincoln Heights Patriots in their homecoming game Tuesday night. MMS scored on their first five possessions of the first half. They continued playing with this same enthusiasm throughout the game to pull off a 60-0 win over Lincoln Heights.

The homecoming activities took place just before the start of the game. Sixth grade representatives were Callie Coleman and Makayla Alvey. Representing seventh grade were Erin Bailey and Katelyn Haun. Eight grade representatives were Sydney Gregg, Arinn Arnold, Makenzie Harrell and Kelby Parker.

A few years ago the student council decided to include students with special needs in the homecoming celebrations.  Rachel Rodeffer has been on the homecoming court for all three years that she has attended Maury. Special Education teacher Beth Bryant says, “She continuously brings such encouragement and happiness to Maury’s students and staff. She will be attending Jefferson County High School next year where we are sure she will impact and change many lives as her journey continues.”
