The Jefferson County Patriots will be taking on cross county rivals Cocke County for homecoming 2013. They will go head to head at Shannon Field on October 4th, but before the flip of the coin or the first snap of the ball the two schools will join together to combat a common foe-breast cancer. In the hopes of promoting breast cancer awareness, there will be fun raisers throughout the week and the student bodies will have a pink out in support of those that have fought and are fighting the disease. The combined effort of the schools provides the students the opportunity to come together as a community to support a cause that is larger than any competition and greater than any rivalry. On October 4th the Jefferson County Patriots and Cocke County will bring it all to the field but in the build up to that homecoming game, the student bodies will put the spotlight on fighting like a girl. Pink Out has become an annual event for the Jefferson County/Cocke County game and is heavily supported by the students, parents and fans of both schools.
