I first noticed the benefits of coconut oil as a great hair product, while being involved with the United Nations and noticing the beautiful long shiny hair of the women from tropical areas, India, Pakistan and the Philippines, among other countries. Their healthy hair and the shine made me wonder what brought about such glorious hair. All the women told me, coconut oil! So, of course, I just had to know the complete conditioning process. Apply one half teaspoon, or more on longer hair. Apply only to clean and wet hair. Warm the coconut oil by rubbing your hands together to warm the coconut oil and run only your fingers through your hair, using more at tips and very little at top. Warp a warm towel around the head and let it soak into your hair for 20 minutes, then, shampoo and rinse out. Using this process weekly will make a big difference in the sheen and health of one’s hair.

Coconut oil also works wonders for dry and damaged skin. This wonder oil forms a protective barrier to hold in moisture and is quickly absorbed into the skin helping to reduce lines and wrinkles. Also, coconut oil keeps connective tissue strong and supple. Darlings, I am so excited about the results of using this ancient skin care product and the wonderful results. I was completely out of my regular skin care products and remembered I had recently bought a glass jar of organic coconut oil to cook with, as it is recommended for health purposes. Knowing it was so great for the hair, I decided to use the coconut oil for a moisturizer in this feminine emergency. I warmed it in my hands, same as for hair, and with my fingertips applied to my face, especially under the eyes and neck. At first, it felt just ok, but as it soaked into my skin, a marvelous feeling of such softness and moisture appeared. And then I noticed my hands were responding to the coconut oil better than the hand lotions I usually use. Well, I am convinced coconut oil is a females’ miracle! After applying to face and hands, if one feels as if too much is used, simply use a cloth to pat the surface of the skin gently, do not rub, just very gently pat. In a short period of time, one’s complexion feels silky and so smooth.

Coconut oil is different from other saturated fats, because it is composed of medium fatty acids, known as MCIFA. These fatty acids have antimicrobial properties, lauric acid and capric acid, which forms fifty per cent of the fat in coconut oil. This miracle oil is good for many health purposes; bruises, cuts, burns, increased energy, balance hormones and stimulate the thyroid gland and raises your metabolism rate, thus a weight loss help.

I have been using it for healthy cooking purposes. It is so wonderful for sauteing vegetables and meats, adding to soups and smoothies. When baking, use only fifty percent of the shortening or oil required. It has such a mellow delicious taste.

Darling, do try it, I highly recommend this ancient oil that has such health and beauty benefits.
