Jefferson City’s Old Time Saturday Festival filled the streets downtown with attendees and booths this past Saturday, October 4th. Business booths offered everything from Mossy Creek campus clothing to food and accessories, ensuring that there was always something at hand that any member of the ocean of attendees could purchase. The festival also sported two musical stages, which saw performances from many artists including Ashley Denise & the Outer Limits Band, Lost Creek Band, and The Leatherwood Quartet, filling the area with lively music well into the late afternoon. Automobile enthusiasts also had something to look forward to, as a large parking area was designated solely for antique and classic cars, some of which could be traded or bought. The local favorite tractor show took place, drawing a considerable crowd, and attendance didn’t slow until the evening hours. The festival was also used for a variety of charity and fund-raising events. Boy Scouts and other groups raised money for their own activities, and breast cancer awareness was a focal point of many booths, which also garnered much attention. Whether it was the street full of merchant booths, community-growing charity events, or the highly-attended musical performances, the Jefferson City Old Time Saturday Festival had something for just about every member of the teeming mass of people that filled the streets.
