BLANCHE N. THORNHILL, age 91 of Dandridge passed away Sunday evening, October 20, 2013 at the Jefferson Co. Nursing Home. She was the last surviving member of the Arthur and Ruth Newman Brown family. Blanche was a member of the Grants Chapel United Methodist Church and was a retired employee of Tennessee Handbags Co. after 30 plus years of service. Preceded in death by her husbands, Idra Thornhill and Turner Breeden; sons, Claude and Wayne Thornhill; grandson, “Chuck” Cochran; son-in-law, Ray Pruitt.

She is survived by her children, Kenneth (Vivian) Thornhill and Wanda Pruitt; grandchildren, Jeff (Amy) Thornhlll, Angie (Randy) Rogers, Chis and Greg Thornhill of Coral Springs, FL, Elliot and Robin Thornhill; Great-Grandchildren, MacKenzie Paige Thornhill, and Madison Hailey Thornhill, Austin Thornhill, Nolan, Jacob and Maddux Rogers; special friends, Harriett Franklin, Mary Sue Breeden and Imogene Chambers; special caregiver, Judy Roberts and the staff of Jefferson Co. Nursing Home.

Funeral services, Wednesday evening, 7:00pm at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Darrell Chambers and Rev. Fred Hammer officiating. Graveside interment service will be Thursday, 11:00am at Grants Chapel Cemetery.
