Dandridge Farmers Market hosts “So God Made a Farmer” Heritage Dinner
The Main Street Dandridge – Farmers Market hosted “So God Made a Farmer” Heritage Dinner on Sunday, October 27, 2013, as a way of preserving the historic cultural heritage of the town center.
Plenty of mouthwatering locally grown fresh food was consumed by over 200 attendees. The menu consisted of a 250 pound pig donated by Bill Loy of Loy Farms and prepared by Terry Sellars of Custom Meat Cutting. In addition to the delicious pulled pork, there were 25 farm-fresh side items, breads, drinks, and numerous sweet desserts prepared by House of Douglas.
Contributing farmers included: Bridgette’s Fresh Produce, Classic Plantings Nursery, Wisner Farm, Country Lane Farm, Hammer Produce, Duck Hollow Farm, Martin Farm, Tyler’s Honey, Two Chicks and a Farm, Sandy Ridge Vineyard, Cobb Farm and Greenhouse, and Mollie’s Rubs.
