The 11th Annual Health Fair and Fall Festival was held at Life Care Center of Jefferson City on Friday October 25 8 A.M.-11 A.M. During this festival and health fair many different screenings and information were provided for the guests attending. Free health screening for hearing, blood pressure, blood oxygen level, and three lead cardiac rhythm were offered by health care providers. Health and wellness booths were also set up to provide information on Elder Watch senior outreach and visitation programs, along with State Health Insurance Assistance Programs (SHIP). Blood testing was provided by Tennova Jefferson Memorial Hospital for $8.00. The blood screening tested CBC, TSH, PSA, and lipid profile.

Jefferson City Fire Department introduced a new program called File Of Life which is a system that allows you to keep all your medical information and emergency contacts in a pouch to be kept on your refrigerator.  A sticker is placed on your front door, making responders aware of any medications, medical problems, and all emergency contacts as well as doctor information in case of incapacitation. File of Life is only offered to Jefferson City residents currently. Many other vendors were set up with crafts, jewelry, cookware, and baked goods.  A free barbeque lunch was also provided.
