Friday, November 1st, the Patriots faced off against the Morristown East Hurricanes in the last game of the regular season. Before the game started Jefferson County honored the Football, Volleyball, Cheer, Band, and Cross Country seniors. Jefferson County won the coin toss and differed to the second half, leaving the Hurricanes to have the first kick off.

In the first series of the quarter, the Jefferson County defense stopped the Hurricanes from getting any points, forcing them to punt. As they punted Jefferson County got through the line and sacked the kicker for great field coverage. As the Patriots got close to the goal line, the Hurricanes pulled through and stopped the offense from scoring six. Giovanni Morales, the kicker, scored three for the Patriots, score zero to three. The Hurricanes then scored their own six at under seven minutes left, score seven to three. The Jefferson County offense was stopped on their next drive and forced to punt it away. In the Hurricanes next drive quarterback, Malik Styles had an interception. From there Styles scored another six for the Patriots, score seven to ten. The Hurricanes had a bad snap, which Jefferson County recovered for another chance to score seven.

That drive led into the second quarter where Jefferson County had to punt it away. The Hurricanes found the end zone and moved the score to fourteen to ten. The Hurricanes had a comeback and stopped the Patriots in their next drive and scored another seven, to end the scoring in the half, twenty-one to ten.

Both teams had trouble early in the second half with the Patriots miss stepping and fumbling, recovering the ball, only to be stopped short on the third down. The Hurricanes also had a huge misstep and roughed Giovanni Morales, giving the Patriots an automatic first and ten, the Patriots then went for another first down and came up short on the fourth down. The rest of the quarter went soft and each team ended up punting.

The Hurricanes had possession of the ball when the fourth quarter came started and they found their groove, putting another seven points on the board and moving the score to  twenty-eight to ten. The Patriots and the Hurricanes gave the ball back and forth, with neither making much headway, until Seth Lattimer, of the Patriots, scored the last seven of the game, final score twenty-eight to seventeen.
