District 11 representative Jeremy Faison, running for reelection this year, hosted the Faison Top Shot Competition on Saturday, November 16. The turnout was impressive, with shooters of all ages showing up to compete. The top shots were awarded high-quality firearms, a great bonus to an afternoon spent among friends and acquaintances in friendly competition. The event also served to draw people in the community together with their representatives on a more personal level, as many political figureheads of various positions attended, cracking jokes and discussing local issues with local citizens, giving the event an easy air. Even if one didn’t want to compete, all were encouraged to come out and enjoy the fun, an invitation that seemed to be widely accepted. Regardless of the status of the target, the Faison Top Shot Competition appeared to be a rousing success and an enjoyable outing for all who attended.
