Winter lights are shining all around the Burg, illuminating the local streets. On Wednesday, Gatlinburg kicked off their Winter Lights Festival with a chili cook off. Some of Gatlinburg’s favorite restaurateurs added their own flair to the cool weather dish and the city was filled with folks looking for a sampling of the delicious fare. As with most events in the Burg, great talent was also in abundance and a variety of music filled the cold artic air. Locals and tourists, bundled up tightly to ward off the chill, enjoyed the annual event that marks the unofficial change of seasons for the Smokey Mountain area. The Winter Magic Lights will be bright and shining through the Holiday Season and through the cold weather months.
