It is beginning to look a lot like Christmas in the Historic Town Square in Dandridge, as the lights of the Season are already burning brightly. Dandridge kicked off the Twenty-fifth annual Christmas in Dandridge  with the opening ceremony on Thursday evening, November 21, 2013. Dandridge Mayor Gantte offered the Welcome to community members that lined the road in front of the Historic Jefferson County Courthouse for the ceremony. Local Pastors participated by reading scripture and giving the Invocation. The Dandridge Elementary School Chorus, lead by Music Teacher Tracy Wilson, added their rendition of carols old and new to the festive event and the crowd joyfully rang in the Holiday Season with some favorite songs. The official lighting of the Town’s Christmas tree was a highlight of the evening. Following the ceremony, the community was invited to share in cookies and hot chocolate on the front porch of the Dandridge Main Street Bistro.
