Jefferson County 4-H Members have been busy this fall getting ready for Christmas. A county-wide effort was formed to collect items for Operation Christmas Child. This organization sends shoe boxes full of toys, school supplies and hygiene products to children overseas. The 4th and 5th grade 4-H members from all over the county collected different items. Piedmont Elementary schools went above the call of duty by collecting over 700 toothbrushes. The Jefferson County 4-H Club collected enough items to fill over 70 boxes.
