$20,000 donated to the Humane Society of Jefferson County from the estate of Richard Wallace

Richard Wallace, a lifelong animal lover, longtime supporter of the Humane Society of Jefferson County (several years ago he supplied enough paint to spruce up the facility) and a one time member of the board, will be remembered at the Animal Shelter for a long time to come. Twenty thousand dollars is being donated to the Humane Society to be used for repairs and upgrades to the facility. New sturdier beds will be the first things to be purchased for the dogs. Repairs will be made to the outdoor kennels and roofing will be added to the runs. Richard Wallace even after his passing will continue to make a difference to the animals he loved.
