White Pine Kicks Off Christmas Season With Annual Parade

White Pine kicked off the Christmas Parade Season in Jefferson County on Saturday, December 7, 2013. The annual event started at dusk to showcase the beautifully lit floats and folks lined the streets in anticipation. Jefferson County High School Patriots Marching Band added a musical flair to the stretch of participants riding and driving through the parade route. Local churches, civic groups and children braved the cold to transform wagons and truck beds into rolling nativity scenes. Fire trucks blazed the way and horse drawn sleighs added to the excitement, as well as candy canes flying trough the air to those eagerly waiting the procession.
