The Mossy Creek Historic District in Jefferson City officially launched its Christmas Season last Saturday with their second annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony. Local churches, organizations and elected officials were on hand for the event. The stage in the Historic Mossy Creek area was alive with entertainment, as seasonal music was the choice of the day. Tasty treats could be purchased and children were encouraged to create a little Christmas magic in the arts and crafts booths. A Christmas Parade is next on tap for the Mossy Creek Historic District and it will take place on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at 2pm. Those interested in participating will line up at 1pm for the 2pm start and the Parade will begin and end in the Historic Mossy Creek District.
