Cyclones Blow Past Goal

Jefferson County students have been giving back to the community through the Christmas in Jefferson County Food and Toy Drive. Local schools were assigned a type of canned food to bring in to contribute to the program. White Pine School was asked to bring in 500 cans of soup and they went above and beyond anything that was expected. Eighth graders at White Pine were challenged to surpass last year’s collection numbers and they hit that goal with the force of a cyclone. This year they bought in a whopping 1,756 cans of soup to help out families in need. Teachers and Administrators at White Pine School were astounded by the generosity of their students and their commitment to their community.
