Jefferson County State Representatives Jeremy Faison and Andrew Farmer hosted a Town Hall Meeting at the Historic Jefferson County Courthouse in Dandridge. The event was designed to allow constituents the opportunity to address their Representatives regarding their concerns for the County and State.

The question and answer session was moderated by Vickie Forgety and questions were not vetted in advance. Sophomore Representative Faison, of District 11, and Freshman Representative Farmer, of District 17, were concerned that resident’s voices should be heard and any questions addressed. Discussion ranged from the local economy and current pending legislation to education. Both Faison and Farmer were pleased with the turnout of local citizens taking an active part in their government and the prevailing spirit that drove the discussion. Beyond citizens, local elected officials also took part in the Town Hall Meeting, presenting questions to the State Representatives. Representative Faison and Representative Farmer stated that they have an open door policy and encouraged constituents to contact their offices with any concerns that may arise.
