DEXTER R. DENTON, age 82, of Dandridge,TN passed away at Life Care Center, Jefferson City, Saturday morning, December 21, 2013. Dexter was long-time farmer of the Chestnut Grove community and will remembered by his friends for his willingness to help others. He is preceded in death by his parents, Vate and Hassie Sellars Denton; brother, Robert “Rob” Denton. He is survived by his sister, Linda Hall; and brother, Tommy Dento;, special nephew, David Denton; nephews, Steve Hall of Chicago, IL and Randy Denton of Newport; and several cousins and other family members. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, December 23 at 7:00pm at Chestnut Grove United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Darrell Chambers officiating. Family will receive friends from 5-7:00pm prior to the service at the church. Graveside Interment service will be on Tuesday, December 24, 2013 at 1:00pm at Balch Cemetery.
