Too Early For Seedlings

I am feeling the winter blues and am longing for spring. I am really looking forward to planting a garden this year and would like to go ahead a plant some seedlings but I have never started a garden from seeds before. Is it too early to start now?

Though I can sympathize with longing for spring, it is still a little early to start seedlings. For plants that should be set out in mid-May, you should probably wait until mid-March to start the seeds. When you do start your seedling plants, remember that they take the correct type of soil and amounts of water and sunlight. Indoor plants, particularly, require a great deal of sunlight. In the meantime, I suggest that you pick a couple of really pretty, blooming plants to tide you over until spring planting.
