WILLIAM F. (BLACK) TIPTON, age 83, of Dandridge, TN passed away Sunday evening, January 19, 2014 following an extended illness. He was born in Sevier County, TN, the son of the late Hobart and Nora Lee Tipton. A lifelong resident of Jefferson County, he was a retired truck driver. Preceded in death by his brothers, George and Rex Tipton; sisters, Imogene Moree and Irene Flynn. Survived by his children, Terry W. Tipton, Earl Tipton, Gary Tipton, Teresa Reed and Sherri Tipton; brothers, Ben Tipton, Jim Tipton; sister, Maxine Tipton Bettis. A service of remembrance and sharing will be held Wednesday, January 22, 2014, 7:00pm at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel in Dandridge with Rev. Troy Duncan presiding. Interment graveside services, Thursday, 2:00pm at Hillcrest Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening 5:00 to 7:00pm prior to services at FARRAR FUNERAL HOME, DANDRIDGE
