Red Cross In Need Of Volunteers for Jefferson County
The Jefferson City Public Library was the stage for a recruiting effort by the American Red Cross. Staff member Naomi Caudle and volunteer Pauline Pusey were on hand to speak to those interested in volunteering. The Red Cross collects blood, provides disaster relief, service to armed forces, CPR instruction, first aid training, swim/lifeguard training, school health clinics, and many more services to help make our community safe.
The Red cross is always seeking willing hearts and helping hands to help people in need in our community. “We need your help, we only have 6 active volunteers in the Jefferson City area”, said Volunteer Pauline Pusey. The Red Cross will be hosting a Shelter Simulation February 1, 2014 at Carson Newman University at Maddox Student event center from 9am-12pm.
