Free Genealogy Classes Offered – Mondays In March,2014

Can you name all 8 of your great-grandparents? Do you have a Civil War ancestor? Was your family in the colonies before the American Revolution? What migration path did your ancestors travel? Find the answers to these questions and more in a free Beginning Genealogy class which will take place on four Mondays in March. Hosted by the Jefferson City Library and the Jefferson County Genealogical Society, the classes will meet from 10 a.m. to 12 noon on March 3, 10, 17, and 24. Participants will explore internet sites, learn how to use census records, learn how to organize their information, and use genealogy software. The instructor will be Ann Blomquist and printed materials will be provided. Class size is limited and those with laptop computers may bring them.
