School Schedules

Do you have any idea when the new school year will start? I am trying to make vacation plans and have heard that the school calendar is already set but I cannot find it anywhere. I would love to wait until the first week in August to travel but I am just not sure that is possible. Any help would be appreciated.

The Department of Education did present a calendar to the School Board at the last meeting and it was approved. According to information provided by the DOE, there was a mistake on the approved calendar and it will not be printed until that has been corrected. I do not know if the mistake will alter the start date or not but the original date has the first day for students being August 8, 2014, which is a ½ day. Until the corrected calendar is released, that is all of the information that we have available. My best guess would be that you need to be in town at least by the 8th to not miss any school. We will print the corrected calendar as soon as it becomes available.
