True Life Church in Jefferson City is a church active on the mission field, both at home and abroad. Right now they have a mission team of 13 members working in Honduras, a country they have been active in since 2005. The team works with Communion Baptist Church in Tegucigalpa, the capital city of Honduras. Communion Church hosts mission teams from around the world on an annual basis and has helped start over a dozen churches in the past 15 years.

The mission team members from True Life volunteer their own time and money to travel to Honduras to help Communion Church meet the needs of new churches and the local people of Honduras. They provide school supplies, shoes, basic hygiene items and anything else the team can provide.

Each mission trip usually involves 3 main areas of focus: Ministry to the host church and surrounding churches, construction projects and evangelism. This year the True Life team will be constructing classrooms for a church in the tiny village of Rio Dulce. They will also hold worship services in surrounding villages, visiting the homes and sharing in village life.

Honduras has the highest murder rate in the world, but the mission team has always been warmly welcomed. It is a time for them to eat authentic Honduran food, spend time with wonderful people and share hope with the region.
