Red Cross Signing Up Volunteers at Jefferson City Library

The American Red held a volunteer sign up class on February 24th at the Jefferson City Public Library. Naomi Caudle and Pauline Pusey were at the library from 1-3pm signing people up to volunteer in the Jefferson City area. The Red Cross has been instrumental in aiding in relief efforts during extreme flooding in Jefferson County, as well as other events. Comprised of a network of donors, volunteers and employees, the American Red Cross provides disaster relief, training and the opportunity to donate blood, as well as supporting military families. According to the Red Cross, volunteers constitute 94% of the workforce to carry out humanitarian work.
