Single Car Crash Sends 3 To Hospital, One via LifeStar Helicopter

The New Market Volunteer Fire Department assisted the Tennessee Highway Patrol with a single car accident, Saturday afternoon on Old Dandridge Pike in Strawberry Plains. One victim, a female, was extricated from the vehicle, following a five minute attempt, by New Market Fire and Rescue and flown out by Lifestar. According to New Market Fire Department Chief Sammy Solomon, one adult male and a child were transported to the hospital by the Jefferson County EMS. At the time of press, no further information was available concerning the condition of the victims.
