Mt. Horeb Elementary School Hosts 2nd Annual Evening With The Arts

Mt. Horeb Elementary School hosted its second annual Evening With The Arts on Tuesday, February 25th and Thursday, February 27th. The theme this year was “Fiesta”, and the students really embraced the Latin-American theme. They studied not only different types of art, but also learned about the Latin American culture, language and history. The students performed Latin American songs and dances and many wore authentic Latin American clothing ordered specifically for the celebration.

The night also featured a Young Artist Gallery showcasing the talents of the student body. The artwork featured included Abstract Expressionism, Still-Life, Aboriginal Art, Silhouettes, Name Design and Multi-Media Self Expression. Families were able to browse through the gallery and then visit the Book Fair, which also shared the “Fiesta” theme. A light supper was also provided. It was a wonderful evening for Mt. Horeb students, faculty and parents as they celebrated the vibrant Latin American culture and our own young artists.
