Local girl scouts were very busy last month. They kicked off the month with their annual mall lock-in. During the lock-in, the mall was closed down and the girls had a super sleep over where they were treated to music, the movie Frozen, food, crafts and many more fun activities. This year’s theme was a Teddy Bear Tea Party and both the girls and their parents had a blast.

Before the girls got in full swing for their annual and highly anticipated cookie sale, the Girl Scouts attended World Thinking Day at Shady Grove United Methodist Church. Each troop was assigned a country from around the world with information about their food and culture. This was an informative and interactive way to show how other Girl Scouts and Girl Guides from around the world live their day to day lives.

Closing out the month of February, Girl Scout troops in the area kicked off cookie booth sales. All proceeds from the sale will go to help meet the goals for the troop’s upcoming year.
