JEFFERSON MEMORIAL HOSPITAL TEES OFF TO HELP HABITAT FOR HUMANITY BY HOSTING GOLF CLASSIC

Tennova LogoThe first annual Jefferson County Habitat for Humanity Golf Classic will take place on Thursday, April 24th  at Patriot Hills Golf Club, 735 Constitution Drive, Jefferson City, TN.  The tournament is a four-person scramble with a 1:00 p.m. shotgun-start.

Chaired by Colin McRae, CEO of Jefferson Memorial Hospital, the JCHH Golf Classic is the first charity golf tournament slated in April at Patriot Hills Golf Club.  The event features various prizes including goody bags for all players, door prizes and contests on several holes. A complimentary lunch will be served beginning at 11:30 a.m.

Proceeds from JCHH Golf Classic will benefit Jefferson County Habitat for Humanity, an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International. “Habitat for Humanity brings people with resources and people in need together to build simple, decent, affordable houses. The houses are then sold to those in need for no profit,” said Sheila Wiggins, Executive Director, Jefferson County Habitat for Humanity.

Jefferson County Habitat for Humanity was founded in 1987 and has built 28 houses in the community.

“We are delighted to partner with Jefferson County Habitat for Humanity,” said Colin McRae.  “This hospital has a very long, successful history of planning and hosting an annual golf tournament…over 25 years. This tournament holds a very special meaning because of that history and because our associates embrace the spirit of helping neighbors and serving others where we live and work.”

Player slots and sponsorship opportunities are still available. Please visit www.jeffersoncountyhabitat.org or call 865-471-0069 for registration and sponsorship information.

“First established in 1981, the annual tournament has raised thousands of dollars and has always had full support of area golfers and businesses” says Carl Tipton, Tournament Coordinator, “This fundraiser will directly impact the lives of many people in our community.”
