BETTY H. HOWINGTON, age 84, of Jefferson City, TN passed away Sunday, March 16, 2014 at her residence, Chandler House, in Jefferson City, TN. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, C. B. “Chet” Howington, parents, Isma and A. J. Hunter. Betty was born in LaGrange, GA where she lived many years before moving to Marietta, Ga. She was a Southern Bell employee for 35 years before retiring. Betty moved to Talbott, TN in 2002 and was a member of Talbott Baptist Church. In 2010 she moved to Chandler House in Jefferson City, TN. Betty is survived by her step-son, Jack Howington and family. She will be remembered by her loving cousins, Don and Bob Crouch, Carol Dow, Judy Ware, Karen Kelley, Louella Eddleman and their families.

Arrangements are being handled by Farrar Funeral Home in Jefferson City, TN and Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home in Marietta, GA, where graveside services will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to their favorite charity.
