Dandridge Elementary PTO to Host 2nd Annual Spring Fling

Spring is finally sprung, and the Parent-Teacher Organization at Dandridge Elementary School is planning a grand kick-off to the season! Their second annual “Spring Fling” will be this Saturday, March 29th, at the school, from 10am to 3pm.

The whole community is welcome to peruse vendor booths, enjoy local entertainment, and bid on silent auction baskets whose proceeds will directly benefit classrooms. Local emergency services will offer safety demonstrations and child identification kits.

The PTO will offer food for sale, while teachers will fill the gymnasium with game stations for the kids. Tickets for the game stations are available all week; just see any teacher.

Last year’s Spring Fling was “a great success,” according to Principal Tommy Arnold. So generous were the silent auction bidders that “…our teachers were able to make purchases for their classrooms to add books, hands-on games and activities, and electronic devices.” It’s not too late to donate a basket for your child’s teacher to enter in the auction.

Mr. Arnold and the PTO invite everyone to mark your calendars for March 29, and come enjoy “fun times for a good cause.”
