Ed Stiner is announcing he will seek re-election for the office of Register of Deeds for JeffersonCounty in the upcoming May 6th Republican Primary.  Stiner, who is currently finishing his first term of office, stated, “I appreciate the vote and confidence the people of JeffersonCounty gave me in 2010 and I pledge to continue a courteous, professional office as Register of Deeds.”

Stiner, who is running without opposition, adds, “It has my distinct honor and pleasure to serve JeffersonCounty these past four years.  If I can be of assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact me at the Register of Deeds office.”

During his first term, Stiner saved the citizens of JeffersonCounty thousands of dollars by trimming his budget every year he has been in office and by instituting cost saving measures, such going paperless.

Stiner achieved Certified Public Official status through the University of Tennessee County Technical Assistance Services continuing education division.  He was also selected by the County Officials Association of Tennessee (C.O.A.T.) to serve as a state board member and chaplain for their organization.   He is the current President of the East Tennessee Register of Deeds Association.  In addition he serves as Legislative Chairperson for the Tennessee Register of Deeds Association.

A native of JeffersonCounty, Ed Stiner is a graduate of TusculumCollege with a B.S. in Business Management and holds a graduate degree from the Louisiana State University School of Banking.  He and his wife, Susan, reside in New Market.  They have 2 daughters, Lori and husband Beau Tucker, and Wendi Stiner.  He is the son of Helen (Peck) Stiner and the late Max Stiner.

He was quick to praise his staff as professional and very knowledgeable.  “The ladies who work in the office have many years of combined service to JeffersonCounty.” Stiner said.  “They know the instruments we record and services we offer from top to bottom.   I have the utmost respect for their abilities.”

Ed Stiner looks forward to continuing to serve Jefferson County as Register of Deeds and asks for your vote and support in the upcoming May 6th Republican Primary.
