Sixteen members of the Samuel Doak Chapter NSDAR met for their Annual Business Luncheon on March 27, 2014, at the Shepard Inn in Dandridge, Tennessee. The tour of the majestic 195 year old Shepard Inn which still boasts of its charm, prosperity, and warmth as it has since its humble beginnings as the Inman House ca. 1820, and the almost 200 years of decor and furnishings of French Empire, Victorian, Edwardian, and Art Deco in its many parlors and sitting areas, large dining room, and spacious guest rooms was enjoyed by the DAR Members. Following a delicious meal and the business meeting, the chapter was treated to a tour of the Revolutionary War Graveyard next door to the Shepard Inn, and the Dandridge area by Robert Jarnagin, a Jefferson County, Tennessee Historian.
