FFA Annual Tractor Pull & Truck Show 2014

The Jefferson County High School Future Farmers of America held their annual Tractor and Truck Pull on Saturday, April 5, 2014. Tractors and trucks of all ages and sizes were the order of the day, as the fairground benches filled to watch the machines do a little heavy lifting. A little mud from the downpour on Friday didn’t even begin to dampen the event, proving that some things are even better with a little mud and dirt. The annual tractor pull is a fun fundraiser for the FFA and highly anticipate by both club members and the community. Saturday’s event was a testament to the fact that it doesn’t require neon to be exciting but a roaring engine and a little good spirited competition among friends and neighbors is about as much fun as can be found anywhere on a sunny April afternoon.
