DORIS McSPADDEN HILL

DORIS McSPADDEN HILL, age 93 of Dandridge passed away Sunday evening, May 4, 2014 at the Jefferson Co. Nursing Home.  She was the daughter of the late Sam and Ersie McSpadden and was preceded in death by her husband, James C. Hill.  Doris was a member of the Chestnut Grove United Methodist Church and was a retired employee of Tennessee Handbags Inc.  Following retirement she enjoyed 19 years as a volunteer  at the Jefferson Co. Nursing Home.  She was loving Mother, Grandmother who was loved dearly by her many friends and family and will be greatly missed by the residents and staff of the Jefferson Co. Nursing Home who showed their love as her extended family.  The family wishes to acknowledge and express their heartfelt Thanks and appreciation to the entire staff at Jefferson Co. Nursing Home for their sincere love and excellent care that was given to our mother.   She is survived by  her daughters, Nina and Sandy Brimer, Linda and Ronnie Smith,  and Shirley and Chuck Holt; brother, Ralph (Jack) McSpadden; sisters-in-law, Barbara McSpadden and Helen McSpadden; grandchildren, Steve and Tatiana Chambers, Lisa and Tony Walker, Debbie Morgan, Donnie and Lisa Smith, Angela Holt and Kenric  Ashe, and Jim Holt; great-grandchildren, Eric and Tara Chambers, Jessica Chambers, Dusty and Anna  Lewis, Danny Lewis, David Walker, Travis Morgan, Brian and Madison Morgan, Rory Smith,  Marly Smith, Shannon Holt; great-great grandchildren, Gavin Chambers , Alexia Lewis and Jada Lewis.   Funeral services, Wednesday, May 7, 2014, 7:00pm at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry DeVault  and Rev. Darrell Chambers officiating.  Interment graveside services, Thursday, 11:00am at Dandridge Memorial Gardens.  The family suggests that memorial gifts be made to Chestnut Grove United Methodist Church, 902 Chestnut Grove Rd., Dandridge, TN 37725.  Family will receive friends, Wednesday evening 5:00 to 7:00pm prior to services at FARRAR FUNERAL HOME, Dandridge.  www.farrarfuneralhome.com
