Dandridge Hosts 5th Annual Cruisin’ & Groovin’ Car Show
Car enthusiasts can mark their calendars for the fifth annual Dandridge Cruisin’ & Groovin’ Car Show on Saturday, May 17th, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The popular car show is a family friendly day featuring over 200 cars, great music and food, and door prize drawings. New this year is a special Moon Pie Eating Contest.
“We started this event 5 years ago to bring people to Dandridge and had no idea of its popularity.” says Susan Ferguson, Car Show organizer and owner of The Shoppes at Roper Mansion. “The quaint downtown and friendly atmosphere helps to bring more and more collector cars and enthusiasts to this car show each year.”
Attendees can enjoy food from downtown restaurant Walt’s Hitchin’ Post, and food vendors: Methodist Men and Dapper Dogz. Be sure to stop by the downtown shops to check out their new spring items.
Pre-registration for classic car owners with a donation of $10.00 is open through the day of the Car Show. Drawing winners are eligible for over 50 prizes -including Passes to Dollywood, Forbidden Caverns, Country Tonight, Gift Cards, and much more. Registrants receive a Dash Plaque for the show, special prize drawing tickets, a participant “goody bag”, and opportunity to win one of five participant choice trophies. Back by popular demand are the Fountain Favorite and Mayor’s Choice Awards.
