The Jefferson County High School Class of 2014 Honor’s Day was held recently at Carson Newman Univeristy. Fiona Scruggs, Patriot Events Council Representative, gave the Welcome and Jefferson County High School Principal Dr. Scott Walker gave the Opening Address. Bob Jenkins was award the 2014 Community Patriot Award for his longstanding contributions to Jefferson County High School.

Patriot Way Award- : JOSH BOLINSKY, KIERAN BRAUN, EMILY CROXDALE, TODD CUMMINGS, KIRSTIN ELDRIDGE, CAITLIN FARLEY, JOSHUA FRALEY, ALLISON GANTTE, ZACKARY HAWKS, SUMMER HAYES, CALEB MARCUS, DANIEL McCOY, JADE MERRITT, CARL WEAVER, TORI WILKIN, TRISH WORKMAN.
AP Scholar awards are granted to students who receive scores of 3 or higher on three or more AP exams- : BRANDON CHAMBERS, JESSE McGAHA, MIKAYLA MORIE, HANNAH NEWMAN, and ALEXANDRA STRONG.
The AP Scholar with Honors Award is granted to students who have an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on 4 or more exams- FARRAH HODGE, SAMUEL LEMAY, STONE PAYNE, JACQUELINE RICHARDS, and WILLIAM ZHANG.
The AP Scholar with Distinction Award is granted to students with an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on 5 or more exams-: HANNAH BARRETT, ANTHONY DALTON, and DUSTIN JOHNSON
Based on PSAT scores, students are recognized by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation. Commended students placed among the top 5 percent of more than 1.5 million students who took the qualifying test. JCHS would like to recognize SAMUEL LEMAY for his commended status
