According to Dandridge Chief of Police Carson Williams, at approximately 2:35 pm on May 14, 2014, Sgt. Donald Fair and Officer Shane Hanshew, of the Dandridge Police Department, responded to a 911 call of domestic disturbance at 591 Joshua Dr. in Dandridge. Upon arriving at the scene the officers noticed two individuals running from the basement of the residence. Once taken into custody, Sgt. Fair and Officer Hanshew were given consent to search the house and basement, finding various components used for manufacturing methamphetamine in the process. Detective Lt. Kevin Bunch, also of the Dandridge Police Department, was called to the scene and headed further investigation of the residence. Plastic tubing, lithium batteries, microwaves, and other items used to operate in methamphetamine labs were among the items recovered from the scene. In addition, several firearms were also confiscated on the premises. Two individuals were arrested: Amanda Katelyn Walker, 21, and Richard James Corbett III, 25, of 591 Joshua Dr. in Dandridge. Walker and Corbett are being charged with initiating methamphetamine manufacturing processes and are set to appear in General Sessions Court on May 21, 2014. They are each being held on a $50,000 bond.
