Dandridge Farmers Market Grand Opening for the 2014 Growing Season is May 24

Farmers Market press release photo 05212014This year the Dandridge Farmers Market will open on Saturday May 24. The market is open rain or shine and is located at the corner parking lot at Gay and Meeting Streets (downtown stoplight intersection), one block north of the Jefferson County Courthouse. Market hours are 9 A.M. to Noon.

The May 24 Farmers Market will feature spring veggies, including a variety of tomatoes, cabbage, broccoli, onions, kale and mustard, radishes, beets.  Also available are blueberry bushes and other perennials, herbs, honey, free range eggs, and baked goods. The Jefferson County FCE and 4H Club will be onsite and featuring crafts and updating attendees on the seasonal activities. Music and entertainment will be provided by Rachel Gibson and Jon Ives of the Pea Pickin’ Hearts.

The Dandridge Farmers Market provides residents and visitors the opportunity to purchase locally-grown produce and other locally-made products. The market will be open on Saturdays through the growing season.  Special events and activities will also be hosted at the Farmers Market throughout the 2014 growing season.

The Dandridge Community Trust proudly organizes the seasonal Farmers Market on behalf of the Town of Dandridge.
