Dandridge Farmer’s Market Opens For Summer
The Historic Town Square in Dandridge was hopping on Saturday, as the annual Farmer’s Market made its seasonal debut. Though still a little early for many of the tasty fruits and vegetables that the farm fresh market is noted for, there were plenty of flowers, plants and other wares to draw in shoppers. Locals have embraced the Farmer’s Market and it has become a favorite weekend spot for tourists as well, as was evidenced by the crowd that welcomed the market back for the 2014 season. The Farmer’s Market will be open on Saturday’s through fall and offers a wide variety of locally grown produce, as well as some interesting handmade items. It is conveniently located on the corner of Meeting and Gay Streets in the Historic Town Square and is open from 9am to noon.
