Dr. Wendell Campbell Trent, of Jefferson City, TN passed away Saturday, May 24, 2014. Preceded in death by parents, William and Inez Trent; brothers, Bill Trent and George Trent; sister, Carmen Dykes; nephew, Lynn Dykes; niece, Denise Trent. He was a veteran of 10 years service in the U.S. Air Force ranked as a Major, retired hospital administrator and member of Hopewell Presbyterian Church. Survived by wife, Donna Trent; sisters, Gladys (Herbert) Payelian, Peggy (Bill) Sanders and Louetta (Michael) White; brother, Clifford Trent of Sneedville; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at Hopewell Presbyterian Church with Rev. Mike Chamberlain officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. Tuesday prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Hopewell Presbyterian Choir, PO Box 215, Dandridge, TN 37725.
