Shooting Victim Dies, Father Arrested for 1st Degree Murder, Bond Set at $1 Million

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department has issued an update on a Saturday morning shooting at 375 East Dumplin Valley Road. 69 year old Edward Bullard, of the address, was taken in to custody for the shooting of his son, 45 year old Edward Bullard, Jr., who was flown to the University of Tennessee Medical Center via LifeStar. This morning around 1am, June 16, 2014, Edward Bullard, Jr. died as a result of the shot to the head. According to information released by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department, a warrant was issued against Edward Bullard for 1st degree murder and he was arrested around 12:30 p.m. today. Bullard’s bond is set at $1,000,000.
