Three suspects were arrested early Wednesday morning, June 18, 2014, for Burglarizing JEFFCO Drugs Pharmacy. Shortly after midnight, Dandridge Police was dispatched to JEFFCO Drugs , located at 127 W. Meeting Street in Dandridge, to investigate an alarm in progress, as well as a witness call in advising that the witness had observed three people fleeing from the store and leaving in a white automobile. Officer Sam Cameron arrived to find the drive through window broken and a blood stain near the window.

The store owner was contacted, as well as Lt. Detective Kenneth Lodwick with the Dandridge Police Department. Store security cameras reveled that two suspects had entered the pharmacy through the broken window and stolen numerous narcotics. Though their heads were covered, video did reveal that one had a glove on one hand and the possibility that the other hand had been injured on the broken window.

Officer Cameron canvassed the area and noticed a white car that had previously driven by the pharmacy. He followed the car, which held a male and female, and pulled the car over near Maury Middle School. Noticing a bandage on the hand of the male passenger, he called for back up. A search of the vehicle revealed clothing resembling that of the suspects in the video.

The third suspect was arrested by Lt Detective Lodwick in route to a location that the three had been staying at near an area campground. A portion of the pills taken during the burglary were located. Douglas Hurst, Amethsyt Young and Phillip Michael Cisson were arrested for the burglary, theft over $10,000 and vandalism. Both males were identified as members of a Chicago Gang known as Gangster Disciples. Hurst and Cisson are being held on $75,000 bond and Young is being held on $ 32,500 bond. According to Lt. Detective Lodwick, who took over the investigation, the trio has a hearing date on June 27, 2014. Other officers assisting are Deputy Trevor Jones, Deputy Ellen Peoples and Sergeant Scott Ward. Dandridge Chief of Police Carson Williams stated that he commended his department on their attention to detail in locating and making a quick arrest.
