Freezing Tomatoes

I am considering freezing some of our tomatoes and would like to know if this is a good way to keep them for winter?

Frozen tomatoes will keep their flavor for around three or four months. If you need anything longer than that, it is best to can them. Corn will last longer and you can expect it to still be flavorful for around eight months. Remember that some vegetables like okra and leafy green vegetables need to be blanched before freezing to insure color, texture and flavor.
