FFA & Boy’s and Girl’s Club Host Petting Zoo For Area Youth
The Boys and Girls Club of Dumplin Valley have been very busy this summer, with dual locations in Jefferson County. Club members can be found in White Pine and at the former Ruritan Park enjoying activities and interacting with the energetic staff. The Club offers a safe, comfortable environment for club members and there are even special events to offer enrichment. One of these events, a visit from several furry friends, took place last week. The FFA Club brought out animals for the young children to pet and observe. Club members are encouraged to engage in activities that are offered to expand the experiences of the young participants. In addition to providing a safe environment for members, the Boys and Girls Club promotes community involvement, education and nutrition. Beyond the day to day opportunities at the club, daily meals and school support are an important part of the local program.
