Dandridge has something new and sweet in the historic town square. The Main Street Coffee and Sweet Shoppe hosted a soft opening on Friday, August 1, 2014, and locals stopped by to pick up a tasty treat or two. Cupcakes, hand dipped strawberries and a variety of goodies filled the shelves at the pastry shop, bringing something new to the business and historic district. Located in an old bank building just a few doors down from Town Hall, the shop is a welcome addition to the community and a part of the expanding array of businesses that are on tap for the historic town square. Proprietor Susan Ferguson expressed her excitement at the reception the new venture has received from the community. The Main Street Coffee and Sweet Shoppe will be open on Saturday and daily throughout the week. A Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting are on tap but customers are welcome to stop by and pick up something sweet, as well as a cup of piping hot gourmet coffee.
