White is for All Seasons

The old fashion theme that white is not to be worn after Labor Day has been erased by the haute fashion designers from Paris, Italy, and the American elite designers. I have written about this before, but just the other day I heard a discussion about white clothing now being put away because “white is not right after Labor Day.”

Yes, white is now perfect to wear after Labor Day! Remember, last year stark white jeans and pants of all styles were the winter trend?

The reason for the white being put away for generations was because summer white fabrics were not warm enough for fall and winter. The tradition had to do with climate, and heating was not as instant or comfortable as the near-perfect control our modern technology allows.

New fabrics have been created that are perfect for all seasons, so wear white with delight and know one is in perfect fashion! Spread the news that white is right!

On a side note, Victoria Beckham has designed a chic look for fall and winter: a knit long sleeve top in black combined with the trendy green this season for the skirt. The skirt is like a poem moving, as it is cut on the bias, the waist down to the top of the hips is straight, then the skirt flows into a light swirl of fabric. This is one of my favorite styles. So simple, elegant and feminine!

Darlings, have a lovely week and remember, it is never too late to wear white.
