INVITATION TO BID

The Jefferson County Purchasing Department will be accepting sealed bids for the Jefferson County School System for the following items:

1) One used 84 or 90 passenger Transit Type D rear or front engine school bus with air brakes, front & rear heaters, less than 100,000 miles

2) Two used special needs mini 18+1 or larger Passenger diesel or gas school bus with air conditioning, less than 100,000 miles **no 6.0 Diesel engines**

All winning bids of used school buses will be required to provide the original title of the bus to prove original in-service date. These buses must meet all DOT, Federal, and Tennessee specifications.

Sealed bids should be labeled “JC School Buses” and either dropped off or mailed to the attention of Darrell Helton, Finance Director, at 1244 Gay Street or PO Box 1749, Dandridge, TN 37725. Bids will be accepted until 1:00 PM, Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2014 at which time bids will be opened in the finance department conference room.
