VIRGINIA (GINGER) INGERSOLL

VIRGINIA (GINGER) INGERSOLL, age 65, of Jefferson City, TN passed away November 24, 2014 after an extended illness. Born in Warsaw, New York, she moved to Tennessee in 1981 with her family. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Jefferson City and a longtime member of the choir. She was a registered nurse and later teacher’s aide for special needs children. She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. She loved her flower gardens and watching the birds. Preceded in death by father, Howard G. Herman, Sr. and Elsie Herman; father-in-law, Niles C. Ingersoll; sister-in-law, Patricia Zak. She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Niles E. Ingersoll; son, Christopher Ingersoll (Deanna); daughter, Anna Ingersoll-Wardwell (Dale); grandchildren, Ashley Wardwell and Austin Wardwell; brothers, Howard G. Herman, Jr. (Muriel), Edward Herman (JoAnn), Kenneth Herman (Pat); sister, Janet Humel (Kenneth); mother-in-law, Margaret Ingersoll; several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 29, 2014 at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Doug Wilder officiating. Family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 a. m. prior to the service at the church.
